Made Personal features new work by Serrah Russell, Joe Rudko, and Colleen RJC Bratton, drawn together by their formal composition, minimalist aesthetic, and shared interest in working with found materials that reference a past history. This exhibition included photo collage, sculpture, fiber arts, and a collaborative publication. The artists continue studying how gestures of collage can frame common materials as personal and significant. The works will be installed alongside objects (plants, rocks, domestic and architectural symbols) from the artist’s own lives to form pairings and associations that question an understanding of the object and image.
